Acai detail

Açaí (pronounced Uh-sigh-EE) were a delicacy which healed 50 life points each. It could be obtained from Guarani at Musa Point for 1 coin each. They had no further use other than a cheap food option. This could be useful for free players training at the Karamja Volcano for those who do not have access to lobster or swordfish fishing, or just simply to save some time from fishing.

When eaten, the player received the message "Once you finish eating the açaí, the bowl magically returns to Guarani. Recycling the bowl avoids waste and helps to save the rainforest." in the chat box.

Introduced in an update on 15 February 2011 as follows -- "In other news... An exotic delicacy awaits you near a banana plantation..."

When questioned by several members on the official forums, Mod Timbo had this to say about the fruit:

This has nothing to do with "paid advertisement", it's an item that is going to be used in future events. More details on that with future announcements.

— Mod Timbo [1]

Mod Mark then confirmed this by saying it will be used for future events in other languages, similar to Lily of the Valley, and Oktoberfest pretzels. This will most likely be referring to an Earth day.

Açaí was removed along with the update of Elemental Workshop IV.

Trivia[]

  • Açaí is based on the real-life açaí palm fruit. The trees bear berries coloured similarly to the in-game açaí. These berries are often sold as a health food or an energy supplement.
  • The bowl's colours and pattern closely imitate those of the Brazilian flag.
  • If a Ghast eats your Açaí, the bowl will not disappear; instead, it will stay in your inventory as any other bowl.
