Abyssal

This page is about the race. For the weapon, see Abyssal Whip The Abyssal race are creatures that generally wander the Abyss located through the Mage of Zamorak in the level 5 Wilderness above Edgeville. However there is now access to them in different places as well as some Abyssal Creatures that can be summoned through the use of the summoning skill.

The Abyssal Area

There are three types of Abyssal Creatures that dwell inside the Abyss:

• Abyssal leech (level 41)
• Abyssal guardian (level 59)
• Abyssal walker (level 81)

It is unknown how long they have lived there, but they have most likely been in the Abyss since before its discovery by the Z.M.I., due to the Abyssal book mentioning that "Certain creatures of the abyss contain unnecessary surplus organs that may be harvested to provide carrying pouches for various magically-unstable objects."

The book also mentions that the barriers of the Abyss have weakened, allowing some creatures to leak into Gielinor (possibly creating the situation being combatted by the Void Knights in the activity Pest Control or the Abyssal Demons in the Slayer Tower). The Z.M.I. seems to have plans to use this to their advantage.

Drops

All attackable Abyssal creatures drop Abyssal charms. When killed they drop ashes at 100%.

Summoning

Since the update of Summoning three new Abyssal Creatures were able to be found, these are:

• Abyssal parasite
• Abyssal lurker
• Abyssal titan

These three creatures are directly linked to the Abyss, the Parasite offering advantages when entering.
