||
+ | | Has the most spawns of any location, can take advantage of Slayer contracts and Morytania legs 4. |
||
+ | | Often crowded; can be difficult to find an empty world. |
||
+ | |- |
||
+ | | Kuradal's dungeon |
||
+ | | Many spawns, often less crowded as these abyssal demons can only be killed on task. Ferocious sigil and ferocious ring can be used to improve kill rate. |
||

||
+ | | Abyssal Area |
||

||
+ | | Few, disparate spawns. Other aggressive monsters can be irritating. Requires partial completion of Fairy Tale II - Cure a Queen. |

||
+ | | Wilderness |
||

||
+ | It is recommended to kill them either in Kuradal's dungeon or the Slayer Tower. If players choose to kill them in Kuradal's dungeon, they should equip the ferocious ring. If players choose to kill them in the Slayer Tower, they may want to equip the Morytania legs 4 (provided they have done the Morytania elite tasks) for a 10% slayer experience boost on task. |

− | ===Melee=== |
||
+ | The Slayer Tower location is recommended for players with access to soul split. By using aggression potions, players can get many abyssal demons attacking them without needing to move around. The top of the tower is recommended for this method as it has the most spawns. Players should use area of effect abilities as much as possible to do damage to many abyssal demons at once. |

+ | ==Slayer strategies== |
||
+ | ;See equipment for guidelines of equipment to use |
||
+ | All styles can be effective when killing abyssal demons. Players using ranged should use mechanised chinchompas or Decimation for their area of effect abilities. Players using melee should use a noxious scythe or a Dragon Rider lance whilst prioritising the use of area of effect abilities. The highest kills per hour can be achieved with the use of Caroming and Aftershock whilst using magic. |
||
+ | |||
+ | Useful Invention perks to use here are Aftershock, Caroming, Demon Slayer and Scavenging. Aftershock deals additional damage in an area of effect radius, and Caroming enables Chain to hit a total of 6 enemies. Scavenging allows players to potentially gain rare components upon killing an abyssal demon. Demon Slayer gives a 7% damage boost. It is worth noting that Caroming is niche as it is not effective in single target PvM, therefore should only be used if planning to camp for very long periods of time. |
||
+ | |||
+ | Players may want to consider using demon slayer equipment to improve their damage output and receive extra experience. Although this is classified as range armour, it is possible for players with access to curses, overloads and tier 90 weaponry to achieve 100% hit chance regardless of the accuracy penalty. |

+ | *If the player is not using an attuned ectoplasmator then replace it and the ghostly essence with super restore flasks and infernal urns. Use the alchemy runes to high alch any drops not disassembled by your spring cleaner |
||
+ | |||
+ | Aggression flasks will keep the abyssal demons aggressive towards the player at all times. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ==Combat training strategies== |
||
+ | Abyssal demons are one of the highest combat experience per hour training methods in the game that also grant one of the highest rates of crimson charms per hour. It is also possible for the player to profit as well from training at abyssal demons. |
||
+ | |||
+ | Abyssal demons can grant 900,000-1,000,000 experience per hour in the desired combat style as well as 440 crimson charms per hour. The average profit per hour while using an attuned ectoplasmator is around 2,000,000-3,000,000 gp. This means a player can gain combat experience, Invention experience, and Prayer experience while still managing to make a profit. |
||
+ | |||
+ | It is recommended that a player brings a pack yak as well as high alchemy runes in order to maximise their profit per hour. |
||
+ | |||
+ | Players will use the loot area option in order to loot multiple drops at once, but must close out of the interface once done looting in order for auto-retaliate to work. It is possible to stay at the abyssal demons in the slayer tower for six or more hours at a time without banking. This ensures that a player will not lose their world while banking when staying for longer periods of time for training. It is advised the player stand 4 or 5 squares east of the western wall, and 1 or 2 squares north of the hole in the floor when killing abyssal demons in the Slayer Tower on the top floor. |
||
+ | |||
+ | If a player uses an attuned ectoplasmator with a demon horn necklace they will have unlimited prayer points and will not need to take as many super restore flasks. One or two super restore flasks will still be needed so the player can regain their summoning points. Bringing a spring cleaner will disassemble the rune and adamant drops for the player, and bringing high alchemy runes will allow the player to high alch any drops missed by the spring cleaner. A gem bag with the gem bag upgrade is recommended as abyssal demons drop uncut rubies and uncut diamonds quite commonly. Once filled up it is not needed to pick the gem drops up as it is not a significant impact on gp/h. |
||
+ | |||
+ | Players should use soul split and the respective curses to match their combat style while killing abyssal demons. |
||
+ | |||
+ | In order to maximise profit per hour while also training Invention, it is recommended to only bring one augmented armour piece, and the augmented weapons. The rest of the player's armour should be demon slayer equipment due to its increased % to damage and combat experience against demons. |

Abyssal demons are one of the strongest demons in RuneScape. Players require a Slayer level of 85 to damage them, which can be boosted starting at 80 using wild pies. They provide good Slayer, Invention, and combat experience.
Locations
Location | Pros | Cons |
---|---|---|
Slayer Tower roof | Has the most spawns of any location, can take advantage of Slayer contracts and Morytania legs 4. | Often crowded; can be difficult to find an empty world. |
Kuradal's dungeon | Many spawns, often less crowded as these abyssal demons can only be killed on task. Ferocious sigil and ferocious ring can be used to improve kill rate. | Required to be on task. |
Abyssal Area | Almost always empty. | Few, disparate spawns. Other aggressive monsters can be irritating. Requires partial completion of Fairy Tale II - Cure a Queen. |
Wilderness | Usually empty. Many spawns here, can use demonic skull and Slayer contract (Wilderness). | Other players are able to attack you here; take only what you are willing to potentially risk losing. |
Sunken Pyramid | Have your own personal dungeon filled with 5 Abyssal demons in a small area. | 99 Slayer required. Obtaining 5 Abyssal demon souls. |
It is recommended to kill them either in Kuradal's dungeon or the Slayer Tower. If players choose to kill them in Kuradal's dungeon, they should equip the ferocious ring. If players choose to kill them in the Slayer Tower, they may want to equip the Morytania legs 4 (provided they have done the Morytania elite tasks) for a 10% slayer experience boost on task.
The Slayer Tower location is recommended for players with access to soul split. By using aggression potions, players can get many abyssal demons attacking them without needing to move around. The top of the tower is recommended for this method as it has the most spawns. Players should use area of effect abilities as much as possible to do damage to many abyssal demons at once.
Slayer strategies
- See Slayer/Recommended equipment for guidelines of equipment to use
All styles can be effective when killing abyssal demons.
Useful Invention perks to use here are Aftershock, Caroming, Demon Slayer and Scavenging.
Players may want to consider using demon slayer equipment to improve their damage output and receive extra experience. Although this is classified as range armour, it is possible for players with access to curses, overloads and tier 90 weaponry to achieve 100% hit chance regardless of the accuracy penalty.

- If the player is not using an attuned ectoplasmator then replace it and the ghostly essence with super restore flasks and infernal urns. Use the alchemy runes to high alch any drops not disassembled by your spring cleaner
Aggression flasks will keep the abyssal demons aggressive towards the player at all times.
Combat training strategies
Abyssal demons are one of the highest combat experience per hour training methods in the game that also grant one of the highest rates of crimson charms per hour. It is also possible for the player to profit as well from training at abyssal demons.
Abyssal demons can grant 900,000-1,000,000 experience per hour in the desired combat style as well as 440 crimson charms per hour. The average profit per hour while using an attuned ectoplasmator is around 2,000,000-3,000,000 gp. This means a player can gain combat experience, Invention experience, and Prayer experience while still managing to make a profit.
It is recommended that a player brings a pack yak as well as high alchemy runes in order to maximise their profit per hour.
Players will use the loot area option in order to loot multiple drops at once, but must close out of the interface once done looting in order for auto-retaliate to work.
If a player uses an attuned ectoplasmator with a demon horn necklace they will have unlimited prayer points and will not need to take as many super restore flasks.
Players should use soul split and the respective curses to match their combat style while killing abyssal demons.
In order to maximise profit per hour while also training Invention, it is recommended to only bring one augmented armour piece, and the augmented weapons. The rest of the player's armour should be demon slayer equipment due to its increased % to damage and combat experience against demons.

Tips
- Infernal urns may be helpful as they will automatically collect their ashes, especially as they now stack.
- An attuned ectoplasmator and demon horn necklace combination can be used to restore prayer to help save players from using the penance aura or prayer potions/super restores.
- Due to the common drop of uncut rubies and the uncommon drop of uncut diamonds it is useful to bring a gem bag
