Ahrim's staff is a two-handed members magic weapon that is part of Ahrim the Blighted's set of barrows equipment. To wield Ahrim's staff, the player must have 70 Attack and Magic. It is one of only three staffs that are two-handed, another being Toktz-Mej-Tal, the last being the Penance trident. Many players do not use this staff along with the set which makes this very obsolete; the reasons are that its two-handed and does degrade over time of combat.

Being part of Ahrim's barrows set, if Ahrim's staff is wielded along with all of the other pieces of equipment in Ahrim's barrows set the player receives a special attack: successful Magic attacks have a chance of lowering the opponent's Strength level. This weapon is typically not used with the full set. On 2 September 2009, all spells can now be autocast without a staff. Ahrim's staff now gives a 10% magic damage bonus.

Repair

Like all barrows items, this item degrades as it is used in combat. It cannot be used if it reaches 0. Because of that, barrows items require regular repairs. It can be repaired at Bob's Axes in Lumbridge, Tindel Marchant in Port Khazard, or a Squire in Void Knight Outpost. Some players also repair barrows equipment at armour stands in Player owned houses. The price of how much it cost to fix depends on how much it has degraded. To fully fix it costs 100,000 coins. Players should note that it is cheaper to cast High Alchemy on a fully broken staff and buy a new one at the GE than it is to fully repair the staff. Barrows equipment degrades as it is used. Equipment received from the Barrows minigame is fully repaired and can be used for 100,000 charges of combat until it degrades completely and requires repair before it can be used again; it does not suffer in performance as it degrades from fully repaired to fully degraded. The remaining charges of Barrows equipment can be checked by right-clicking it and selecting 'check-charge'. Additionally, Barrows equipment may only be traded if fully repaired or fully degraded. Items lose 20% charge if reclaimed from a gravestone after dying.

There are two ways to repair Barrows armour. Players can talk to any of the NPCs listed below and they will repair the items for a price, or repair the pieces themselves using an armour stand in any player-owned house for a reduced cost based on their Smithing level. The equipment can be repaired at any stage, and the cost will be adjusted according to how much it has degraded. The repair costs below are as if the equipment has fully degraded.

The following NPCs can repair the armour:

Costs to repair
barrows equipment
NPC POH armour stand
Level 1 Smithing Level 99 Smithing
Helm 180,000 179,100 90,900
Body 270,000 268,650 136,350
Legs 240,000 238,800 121,200
Weapon 300,000 298,500 151,500
Total 990,000 985,050 499,950
The price is exactly 50% when operating a Smithing cape.
