An air battlestaff is an air elemental staff. It requires 30 Magic to wield. It also provides an unlimited number of air runes. Air battlestaves can be created using the Crafting skill at level 66 by using an air orb with a battlestaff, granting 137.5 Crafting experience. It is also dropped by a variety of monsters and is a potential treasure trails reward.
As the name suggests, this staff features a higher attack bonus than the staff of air, making it a better staff to use. It can be upgraded to a mystic air staff by Thormac for 40,000 coins after completing the Scorpion Catcher quest or for 27,000 coins after completing the Seers' Village hard achievements.
This item is commonly used with the high alchemy spell as it is profitable to alchemise and there is a relatively large supply.
With 85 Crafting, players may attach a shade skull to the air battlestaff, creating a skeletal battlestaff of air.
