The Al Kharid Camel is one of the non-player characters that can be contacted with the Lunar Magicks spell NPC Contact using the 'Random' selection. The Al Kharid Camel wanders around outside the Al-Kharid bank. It has been seen to enter the bank and walk around inside it before walking out. It is not known if this is a glitch.
If the player wishes to recharge his Camulet, he can talk to the Al Kharid Camel and ask him to produce some dung. The camel will agree reluctantly and ask the player to close his eyes, after which the screen will turn black and the player will hear a squelching sound. When the screen returns to normal, a pile of dung will be on the ground. The player can use an empty bucket on the dung to retrieve some Ugthanki dung, which can then be used on the Camulet to recharge it.

- Player: Hi there!
- Al Kharid Camel: Why, helloooo!
- A camel?
- Well this is grand darling. How nice it is to make your acquaintance!
- Thank you. Nice to meet you too.
- Wait a minute. How am I talking to you without a Camulet?
- My dear, I'm a camel, how should I know?
- Hmmm. I suppose this spell must tap directly into your mind. So, there's no need for language to get in the way.
- I think I am somewhat confused.
- May one ask how you contacted me?
- I'm just using one of the Lunar spells.
- Oh my, oh my. These youngsters today and their new-fangled gadgets!
