Amulet of accuracy detail

The amulet of accuracy is a reward for completing the Imp Catcher quest. It was the first amulet in RuneScape. The amulet gives a +15 ranged damage bonus, which is the same as the bonus provided by the amulet of power (however, the amulet of power also grants a melee and magic damage bonus and provides a prayer bonus). It cannot be produced by players, and can only be obtained from completing the quest or buying one from Wizard Mizgog for 5,000 coins. Current store buy limit is 30.

On RuneScape Classic, the amulet of accuracy was a rarer item. This is because it could only be obtained once per account, when players complete Imp Catcher, and no new accounts could be created. Jagex opened RuneScape Classic to new players for two weeks in 2009 and in 2011, making it less rare.

Price manipulation clans used to choose this item very frequently, as supply was limited (only from new accounts completing Imp Catcher), and demand was moderate from players who had discarded their amulet wanting to complete a collection of amulets or attempting new training strategies. This ceased to be the case when the ability to buy them was added on 18 October 2010.
