Ancient artefacts are artefacts from the Third Age that players can obtain as drops from Revenants in the Forinthry Dungeon or the Chaos elemental. According to Mandrith, as the blood of warriors is spilled, as it once was during the God Wars, artefacts of that age feel the call to battle and are drawn into the rays of sun once more.
These can then be traded to Mandrith in Edgeville bank or Nastroth in Lumbridge Castle's courtyard for a sum of cash determined by the type of artefact. Be aware that the noted versions of these artefacts cannot be traded in.
The higher the value of the artifact, the more rarer it will be from the Revenants. For example, a Saradomin amphora can be easily obtained from high level revenants, but an Ancient statuette will be much more rarer from a high level revenant.
