It is highly advised to use deflect magic or protect from magic prayers because this monster hits extremely high with magic. These are usually one of the prime targets when a [[dungeoneering]] party enters a room, especially when other forms of threatening combat (e.g. high level forgotten warriors or forgotten rangers) exist, because as soon as the book is dead it will be safer to turn on the other protect-from prayers to reduce your chance of dying.

The Animated book is an enemy found in the Occult floors and Warped floors. Its attack resembles a highly empowered version of Fire Bolt. It is highly advised to use deflect magic or protect from magic prayers because this monster hits extremely high with magic. These are usually one of the prime targets when a dungeoneering party enters a room, especially when other forms of threatening combat (e.g. high level forgotten warriors or forgotten rangers) exist, because as soon as the book is dead it will be safer to turn on the other protect-from prayers to reduce your chance of dying.
