Attack potion detail

An Attack potion is made by mixing clean guam into a vial of water and then adding eye of newt. This gives 25 herblore experience, and requires level 1 Herblore (used to be 3 before the overhaul of Druidic Ritual). It is therefore the most basic of potions and is often made by players who have just started training Herblore.

Using an attack potion will temporarily raise the player's Attack by 1-8 (1 + 8% of Attack level), rounded down. If the player adds roe to a 2-dose potion then it will become a 2-dose attack mix which heals 30 life points. Using an attack potion will not allow you to use higher level equipment. For example, if you have an attack of 39, and you use an attack potion, you will not be able to wield rune weapons. F2P players can also now use Attack Potions.

A better alternative to using attack potions for combat are buying combat potions. They give the bonuses of both a strength potion and attack potion in only one item slot and are cheaper, only costing The time allocated for running scripts has expired. coins for 3 doses.

It can be purchased at the Warrior Guild Potion Shop for 560 coins each and sold to a general store for 168 each (3 dose).

An attack potion (4) is an ingredient in a Grand attack potion, one of the combination potions.

Grimy guam is cleaned to become Clean guam added with a Vial of water to make Guam potion (unf).

Guam potion (unf) + Eye of newt = Attack potion (3)

Then add Eye of newt to make a 3-dose Attack potion.

Flask

This potion can be made into an Attack flask by using at least six doses of it with a Potion flask. Players do not need a specific level to turn potions into flasks.

Trivia

  • These are often very easy to obtain for very cheap prices, due to the large amount of them produced by players new to the Herblore skill. They are considered a feasible way of training Magic as they are a low loss and even on occasion a profit when alching.
