The avernic wand is an item reward from the Demon Slayer quest. Players who completed the quest before the item was added can speak to Gideon Bede to get it.

It requires 1 Magic like the wizard wand, but has slightly higher accuracy and provides unlimited air runes. Following the release of the Avernic wand, it is possible to cast water-based combat spells at no cost when used in conjunction with the tome of frost. It was previously not possible to cast non-air spells for free outside of Daemonheim.
