Bandos armour is a set of armour that requires 65 Defence to wear. It is dropped by General Graardor and his bodyguards in the God Wars Dungeon. It is one of the very few pieces of armour that offer a strength bonus. Bandos is a god of battle whose followers love little more than seeing their foes fall before them. The armour given to his mightiest warriors provides excellent Defence - not to mention that it makes its wearer look as intimidating as an ork on the rampage. Bandos armour is typically very expensive due to its origin in the dangerous God Wars Dungeon. This makes it a rarely seen set of armour and is typically only seen worn by rich players. The exception to this is if somebody has used the lending system to borrow a piece of the armour from another player. It is one of the few armour pieces that look differently on male and female players.

Bandos armour is arguably the best melee armour in the game. It has defence stats that, while weaker than Barrows, are still strong; it has a prayer bonus and a strength bonus, and does not degrade. While it is weaker than the PvP armour, the rapid degradation of that makes Bandos a good choice. Bandos armour is not made out of metal, and therefore it can be used with Ava's accumulator.
