Basic tools are an item used in the Boat to the Arc event. 100 basic tools are given automatically each day. Skilling in the event requires either basic or golden tools. One set of tools lasts for five skilling actions after which it is destroyed. When you use the tools, Tokens are added to your inventory.
Basic tools can be used to teleport to the boat construction site and to view the event progress. They can also be worn in the pocket slot.
Until 27 July 2016, leftover tools can be given to Seasinger Umi for 10 experience per tool in a skill of the player's choice.
