The bathus hatchet is a tier 2 hatchet, found in Daemonheim. It requires level 10 Attack to wield, and level 10 Woodcutting to chop the various trees in Daemonheim, or to clear the Woodcutting doors.
It can be made from one bathus bar, requiring level 12 Smithing and giving 20 experience. It is a possible drop from the Bulwark beast, or you can get it from starting table of dungeon. While Dungeoneering, the Bathus hatchet is commonly used, as the Smuggler sells them (rather than smithing one) for a little over 1,000 coins. However, the marmaros hatchet is more desirable as its price is still low at 2,000 coins and players usually wish to get the highest available tier.
Binding this item is not recommended as players may add it to their Dungeoneering tool belt to keep it between floors. If the player does not have the required woodcutting level to use it, it will automatically function as the highest level hatchet they can use.
