Trivia
- When drinking a beer of any kind, the animation is the same as eating something.
- If you get beer from a barrel in your house, and try to go out of your house, or log out, the beer will disappear from your bag.
- The examine option of "Mmm...Beer" on some beer barrels could be a reference to Homer Simpson, a character of the TV show "The Simpsons", who uses this as a catchphrase.
- Players will also get an empty beer glass after the beer is drunk.
- An empty beer glass can be refilled by using it on barrels with a small spout that has the examine info "It's got ale in it", "The barrel is full of ale" or "Mmm...beer!". This however does not work in the Barbarian Village where if you tried this you would get attacked, this is because they are protective of their beer, though in the past it was possible to obtain beer from the barrels there. If you try doing the same with the taps in most bars you will get a funny message. Some beer barrels that give beer are located in the first floor of the Windmill in Hemenster and on the docking pier of Musa Point.
- There are beer spawns in the Long Hall and in Combat Training Camp.
- A beer and a Kebab was given to players when they talk to the Drunken Dwarf in the random event of the same name.
- During the non-member quest Vampyre Slayer, a player will have to give Dr. Harlow a beer before he gives them a Stake in which you use to finish off the vampire.
- During the Free-to-play quest Prince Ali Rescue you have to give the guard Joe 3 glasses of beer to get him drunk.
- Players cannot brew regular beer.
- Beer is a common drop by hill giants and is sometimes used for its healing properties by players fighting the giants. Players using melee often disdain it, as its negative effect on attack is larger and lasts much longer than its positive effect on strength. Many players using ranged or magic, however, use the beer to heal, since it does not affect those skills.
- Arnold Lydspor in the Piscatoris Fishing Colony stocks 10 beers at 2 coins each.
