This article is about the sand man in Yanille. For other instances of Berts, see Bert (disambiguation).

Bert chathead

Bert is a key figure in the Hand in the Sand quest and, after completing the quest, will gather 84 buckets of sand and deliver them to your bank account daily if you speak with him. This increases to 120 following completion of the Ardougne Elite Tasks. Players have to speak to him every day in order to get the sand. It is not automatically delivered.

He can be contacted using the NPC Contact spell in the Lunar spellbook.

Tip

  • On 10 February 2009, the minimum interval between sand collections was reduced to 23 hours and 40 minutes to enable people to collect sand at the same time every day. Prior to this, the time of collection would slowly creep forwards every day because of the 24 hour minimum limit. On 29 September 2014, this changed to once daily after the daily reset at 00:00 (UTC).
