A normal bass in comparison to a big bass
A big bass is an abnormally large raw bass caught while big net fishing at any big net/harpoon fishing spot. Since players can only get it while fishing for bass, it requires 46 Fishing to get it. It is a fairly rare catch, and since it is not a monster drop, a ring of wealth will not help in getting one.
Big bass can be cooked at level 43 Cooking, and doing so will result in a normal bass or burnt fish and award the normal 130 experience if it is not burnt. Doing so, however, is not recommended, since it is a waste of the unique item. Instead players should get it stuffed so it can be mounted in their player-owned houses.
To stuff the big bass, players must take it to the Taxidermist in Canifis. She will charge the player 1,000 coins and take the big bass away, giving them a stuffed bass. Once its stuffed, players can mount it in their Skill Hall at 36 Construction, using a stuffed bass and 2 oak planks, producing a mounted bass.
