A big mystery box is an item that could be claimed before Summer Beach Party.
2015[]
Big mystery boxes could be claimed from Reyna from 28 June to 12 July 2015 for every mystery box opened. They had the chance to award players with a crab hat.

2016[]
Big mystery boxes were available again in 2016 from 11 August to 15 August. You could either get them from Treasure Hunter in batches of 1, 2 and 6. One was also rewarded from handing in 20 buckets of sand to Reyna every day during the preparation event; this was given on the last day of the event before the beach was released.
