Binding Shot deals 20-100% ability damage to your target as well as binds them and interrupts their attacks.
The threshold version of this ability is Tight Bindings.
Binding Shot is a good defence in combat against players using Melee. Binding Shot, if it hits through the Ranged-resistant armour, holds the target in place for 9.6 seconds until either the snare wears off or Freedom is used. It is generally recommended to use this ability before Fragmentation Shot when fighting melee combatants so that they will either be forced to expend Freedom on Binding shot, in which case they cannot avoid the bleed of Fragmentation Shot, or they do not use Freedom in which case the ranger is safe from attacks for 9.6 second. You're then open to follow up with Fragmentation Shot if the enemy uses Freedom to escape the snare.
