The Black Knight captain's cuirass is part of the Black Knight captain's armour, obtained during The Death of Chivalry. It is required in order to infiltrate the Black Knights' Fortress. It's obtained from the armour stand in the garden of Edgeville Monastery at the beginning of the quest.
