They stop burning at level 97 only if wearing cooking gauntlets, or while wearing the cooking cape at level 99. They give 235 Cooking experience per fish, which equals 394,800 experience per hour.

- Blue blubber jellyfish originally healed a maximum of 1000 life points per bite. The amount of maximum life points healed per bite was reduced to 750 on 12 March 2018.
- Despite the skill guide stating that players can no longer burn blue blubber jellyfish upon reaching level 97 cooking and while wearing cooking gauntlets, it is still possible to do so, albeit at a very low rate. At level 98, however, it is not possible to burn blue blubber jellyfish when wearing cooking gauntlets.
