Blue vortices are the soul fragments of the wizards Perien the Blue or Unaia the Blue, and feature in the Rune Mysteries and Rune Memories quests. During Rune Mysteries, they must be lured into a circle that Ariane creates so she can study it, and in Rune Memories, a Glowing water rune and Glowing law rune must be used on the vortices to draw the wizards souls into the runes.
While players do enter combat with them, they cannot be damaged, and they likewise cannot deal any.
