Bone Yard current

The Bone Yard

The Bone Yard is a location found in level 19-23 Wilderness that has four spawns of Big bones and ten of normal bones. Level 25 Skeletons patrol the southern part of the area, but for those who can defend themselves against these skeletons, it is an effective place to train Prayer. One method that requires minimal food is to bring prayer boosting items (such as Monk robes) and any Dungeoneering bone necklace. It is then possible to keep the Protect from Melee prayer on for an indefinite period of time.

Mainly lower-levelled players find this area helpful when initially training Prayer, but many move on to better methods such as the Ectofuntus and POH Altars .

When the 10 December 2007 updates occurred, the Bone Yard was removed, its former location becoming part of the Clan Wars arena. On 22 January 2011, Jagex confirmed in a Q&A that the Bone Yard would be re-added to the game along with the reinstatement of the pre-2007 Wilderness system.[1] On 1 February 2011, the Bone Yard was re-added to the game.

The Bone Yard is a common place for PvP activities, mainly because low-levelled players are often attracted by the bones on the ground. Once they get there, several higher-levelled players can converge on the kill.
