Bowl detail

A bowl is a vessel used primarily in Cooking to hold water, stew, curry, kebab mix, etc.

Players with level 8 Crafting can make a bowl by using soft clay on a potter's wheel to make an unfired bowl, and then using it on a pottery oven. This requires level 8 Crafting, and earns a total of 33 experience points when made successfully (18 experience for making the unfired bowl, and another 15 experience for firing the bowl). An unfired bowl is required for the Dragon Slayer quest to retrieve the second map piece.

Creating and firing bowls gives good Crafting experience - the best free to play pottery experience other than urns - and is a good way to train Crafting at lower levels. While some urns give more experience than bowls, at lower levels they take up two places instead of one and therefore yield less experience per inventory.

Bowls can be bought from most general stores, in stocks of 10. Bowls can also be bought from the food store portion of the Culinaromancer's Chest, for players who have completed enough of the Recipe for Disaster quest to be able to use the chest. The chest stocks 10 bowls for players who have completed the entire quest.

Bowl spawn points include the kitchen in Lumbridge Castle, south-west of the Temple of Ikov (just north of the Farming patch) and the Cooking Guild.

A bowl can be used on a water source to turn it into a bowl of water. Members can use a bowl of water on a range to turn it into a bowl of hot water.
