The bronze spear is a two handed melee weapon and is the weakest type of spear. It is members' only and unlike most weapons its use is not solely in combat; it can also be used in Farming to make a scarecrow which protects sweetcorn crops. As well, a scarecrow is needed to complete a medium Falador task.

The bronze spear is a common drop from goblins. The Goblin Village is a convenient and fast location for bronze spear drops.

During Tai Bwo Wannai Trio, the bronze spear may be used with poison karambwan paste to create the bronze spear (kp). After the quest, the poisoned spear can be bought from Tamayu's Spear Stall and cleaned with a cleaning cloth to get a bronze spear.

After completing the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest and level 5 Smithing, players who have completed Barbarian Smithing can make the bronze spear on the Barbarian anvil near Otto's house (another Barbarian anvil is in Gunnarsgrunn). Players will require a bronze bar and a log.

The spear can also be found by digging level 3 sites at the Digsite during and after The Dig Site quest. A rock pick, trowel, specimen jar, and specimen brush is needed in your inventory, as well as wearing leather gloves and leather boots.
