The Bronze throwing axe, like all throwing axes, is a member's only Ranged throwing weapon. There are no requirements to wield it. The bronze throwing axe can be wielded with a shield or off-hand weapon.
Players are able to make bronze throwing axes using the Smithing skill at level 7. This requires one bronze bar and a hammer and yields 12.5 Smithing experience. A player makes 5 throwing axes per bar.

Trivia
- There currently exists an interesting graphical glitch while wielding a bronze throwing axe, where the player's shadow is excessively stretched out at the sides. This has not yet been fixed.
