Burnt shrimp is the result of accidentally burning a raw shrimp while attempting to make a shrimp. Cooking a shrimp requires 1 Cooking, and burning it will become less common with a higher Cooking level. Shrimp stop being burnt at level 35 Cooking.
The burnt shrimp has no use whatsoever, although you can unsuccessfully attempt to eat it. Like most other burnt food, it is tradeable to other players but not on the Grand Exchange. When Tutorial Island existed, the first shrimp cooked was always burnt.

Trivia[]
- Prior to an update on 4 March 2013 burnt food did not stack in your inventory.
- Prior to the release of Swan Song, burnt raw shrimp became the same type of burnt fish as anchovies, instead of their own item.
