[view][talk]

Cairn Isle is an island on the south-west of Karamja, south of Tai Bwo Wannai and west of Shilo Village. To access the island, player must climb a rockslide at the Karamja side (requires level 15 Agility), and then run across the wooden bridge linking up the two islands. The crossing attempt can be failed (an almost-surety at lower levels of Agility, as every one of 8 attempts in one test, at level 15, produced simply falling into the water). If your character falls, near-drowning causes 3 sets of 10% of the players health (i.e. a player with 700 health will be dealt 70-70-70 life points) points of damage and always washes the player back to the Karamja beach. However, walking across the bridge will greatly improve chances of successfully crossing, just not until higher Agility levels.

Cairn Isle is involved in both Tai Bwo Wannai Trio and Shilo Village quests. One of Timfraku's sons, Tinsay, resides in Cairn Isle before the player convinces him back to the village in Tai Bwo Wannai Trio. Rashiliyia's son Bervirius is also buried on the isle, and the player must explore his tomb and use the items found there to further progress during the quest.

Exploring Cairn Isle is one of the easy Karamja Tasks.

Chameleon eggs are also found here, which can be used for Summoning.

A Treasure trail coordinate leads to Cairn Isle as well. A Zamorak Wizard will attack when the player digs in the indicated spot.

Trivia[]

  • Cairn comes from the Scottish Gaelic word: "càrn", which is a pile of stones used as a landmark.
  • A cairn is also a term for an above ground stone grave, similar to a barrow.
