This talk page is for discussing the Calculator:Herblore/Extreme potions page.

The 'potion' column is a bit unruly, if someone could format it, that would be great Constitution cape csoursTalkIdeas Quest point cape 10:22, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

Secondary cost per xp[]

I added a 'Secondary cost per xp' since quite a few (most) people will be using these pots instead of using their non-extreme equivalent. This is basically a way of taking into account that the finished product can not be traded and will most likely be consumed. Thoughts? I think its a great idea Quest point capeLewa15151515 Talk HSPrayer-icon 08:43, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

If you could add another column (secondary cost per xp with scroll of cleansing (use 11.1% less secondaries) that would be great. Quest point capeLewa15151515 Talk HSPrayer-icon 08:43, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

Cost to produce overload[]

The cost to produce overload calculation is incorrect. Someone made note of this in the article, but the calculation should just be fixed. I tried to do it but my skills weren't up to the task and it was reverted before I could fix my own problems. Could someone fix this? Since the 5 extreme potions are untradeable, they do not figure into the cost of producing overloads. This is similar to super anti-fires not including the cost of the phoenix feather. *If* the cost of producing overloads is going to include the cost of super attack, avantoe, etc., then the total experience gained should be 2200 (the experience gained from making the extremes + the overload). Thanks in advance. S3v3rian 21:18, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

I have fixed it, thanks for bringing that up. HaloTalk 21:28, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the improvement though this is still not ideal. Now it looks as if making overloads gives 2200 XP, which of course it does not. I'll continue to work on making it correct. S3v3rian 22:21, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
The changes I've made follow the policy set by previous herblore calculators that do not include the cost of untradeable items. Thoughts? S3v3rian 22:35, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
Despite this being 'fixed' i was just calculating some costs using this. THe cost seemed a bit low so i ran through the figures shown and they are out by quite a bit. (including making the extremes) without a scroll of cleanising the cost is about 10% out (above what is shown) whereas with the scroll of cleansing it is approximately 200% of waht is shown. This second inaccuracy is likely because its only counting the tosrsol as a secondary and not accounting for all the secondaries used to make the extreme potions. Also the logical way to rectify it would be to list the primaries as all the super pots needed to make the extremes, and the secondaries as all teh secondaries for the extremes and the torstol, however this would be complicated to portray, and ways to get around this could be difficult, unless you make a secondary file using the same images but with different values to show this (assuming that i understand how the table works correctly) Jammy Duel 22:21, June 23, 2011 (UTC)
