Camouflage clothing was a possible reward from the Drill Demon random event, consisting of the Camo helmet, the Camo top, and the Camo bottoms. It was received by opening the Random event gift from the Drill Demon event and choosing the "Save up for an outfit!" option to obtain a costume point. By talking to Iffie at Thessalia's Fine Clothes, the costume point could be used to obtain a piece of the costume. One would have to earn three points to buy all three parts of the costume, and one could not have more than three points towards a Camouflage costume piece at any given time. The set can be stored in a Costume box in a Player-owned house. This outfit isn't associated with the camouflage clothing used in the Hunter skill.
After an update, all 3 pieces of the Camouflage clothing can now be purchased for a total of 4,000 coins from Iffie's Random Costume Shop, located in Thessalia's Fine Clothes store in Varrock. They give no stat bonuses.
Trivia[]
- There was previously a glitch associated with the camo outfit that made it see through - If the player was wearing a cape, you could see it through the outfit.
- When the random event was first released the camo showed a bush-like texture, instead of a woodland design. Each camo item was also tradeable between players, regardless of whether or not they got the random event. Camo pieces were going for about 300k when they were tradeable. This was quickly changed a week later, making the item untradeable. The camouflage texture was changed soon after.
- The camo's examine info is a reference to the classic idea that a person wearing camouflage was invisible.
