[FAQ] • [doc]

The Chaos Giant is a dangerous entity created by the Red Axe. It is a giant of unknown species, with a chaos device covering its head, neck, and part of its torso. Its left arm has barbed spikes, while its right arm has been mutated into three smaller arms carrying Dragon throwing axes.

Chaos Giants can be found at the end of the Barendir tunnels after completion of Birthright of the Dwarves. Ten chaos giants can be found in the cramped room.

Chaos Giants have a fairly decent drop table, and they can drop both their throwing axes and the dragon pickaxe. However, they drop the pickaxe at a rarer rate than the chaos dwarves on the battlefield.

Strategy[]

The Chaos Giants are all going to be aggressive. Therefore, one may use the rocks and crystals of the area to be safe from most ranged attacks while fighting only one giant

Trivia[]

Dwarf Quest Competition Chaos Giant concept art

Concept art of the chaos giant.

  • Upon release, killing these would count towards fire giant slayer tasks. This was fixed in a silent patch within a week of release. On 11 April 2016, they became a separate category of their own, assigned by Kuradal and Morvran.
  • This is the first player-designed monster in Runescape.
  • On 19 November 2013 they received an overhaul to their drop table, removing most of the "junk" and replacing it with better items.
  • On 15 February 2016 the drop table got improved again, adding dragon pickaxe as a very rare drop.
