Chocolate dust is a ground-up chocolate bar, made by right-clicking a bar and selecting the "powder" option.
Chocolate dust cannot be consumed, so it is not properly a food item. However, it is usually classified as such, since it is used as an ingredient in cooking and in some gnome cooking. It can be added to a cake to make a chocolate cake, or to a bucket of milk to make chocolatey milk. It is also used to make chef's delight and Hangover cure for certain quests.
Chocolate dust is also used in herblore (with harralander to make energy potions).
After the 2005 Hallowe'en event, all sweets turned to chocolate dust, which was then still a members-only item. Also, after the 2008 Easter event, all chocolate eggs given from the Easter Bunny turned to chocolate dust.
