A Construction cape can be purchased for 99,000 coins from Estate agents in several cities by players who have achieved level 99 Construction. It is the Cape of Accomplishment for the Construction skill. It is considered a sign of wealth, as it is very expensive to get 99 Construction. Construction capes are a light tan colour, and have an orange trim if the player has more than one level 99 skill. The Construction Cape's base colour closely resembles that of the Magic cape, which is greyish.

Construction Emote

Trivia

File:99 Construction.png

A player getting 99 Construction.

  • The Construction cape is one of two capes sold by multiple NPCs at the same time (these are in East Ardougne, Varrock, Falador and Seers' Village).
  • This is the third least common skillcape after the Dungeoneering cape and the Runecrafting cape. It is probably because Construction takes lots of money to advance levels, and most people deem it as a money sink due to the fact that Construction does not give as many direct forms of profit, like Summoning does, to defray the astronomical cost.
  • The Construction skillcape is the only skillcape with orange-yellow trim (it looks similar to the Ranging cape trim). The trim also has a bearing resemblance to the Firemaking cape's base colour.
  • At this time, there is a graphical glitch for male characters who wear the skillcape. The cape hangs further from the back than it would when a male character wears other skill capes. This is similar to how skill capes behave when worn by female players.
  • The Construction Cape once had two separate shoulder colours depending on gender. Males had gold shoulders while females had the matching orange shoulders. This colour changed when the player switched gender at the Make-over Mage.
  • During the skill cape emote, the player seems to use a wooden mallet to build the small house, which is ironic, as a wooden mallet is never used in the construction skill.
  • This skillcape's emote recieved a graphical update on 25 May 2010.
