Crystalline shapeshifters are Slayer monsters located on Tarddiad after completion of the quest The Light Within . They are also powerful level 5 warrior units for Seren in Armies of Gielinor , with the unique ability to teleport onto enemies' tiles and kill them.
Crystalline Shapeshifters are more dangerous than their combat level suggests and shouldn't be taken lightly if fought for the first time. Like the combat elves of Prifddinas , they can use abilities to a great extent. In addition, they react to the player's combat style used against them and like Revenants, react to the player's protection prayers. For example, if a player brings magic weapons to fight them, they will use their ranged form, unless the Protect/Deflect Missiles prayer is used, in which they will use their magic form instead. In addition, the ranged and mage forms can turn into a ball and roll at the player for heavy melee damage.
Drops 100% drop Crystalline Shapeshifters during the quest only give their 100% drop.
