The crystal amulet is an amulet from the elf city that has been given to certain members. Players who receive the amulet get a message in their chatbox saying it has been sent to their bank. The amulet, along with the Enlightenment aura, was given to players with 12 consecutive months of membership as of 28 May 2014, Gold Premier club members, and anyone subscribing using the Summer Special membership promotion.
When choosing the Rub option, either a prismatic crystal or 3 prismatic crystal fragments appear in the player's inventory. The crystal provides bonus experience for the 10 skills required for Plague's End, while each fragment can be redeemed for bonus xp equivalent to a Small fallen star in a skill of the player's choice. The amulet can be rubbed once per day.
When worn while earning xp (or instead wearing a shiny of sparkling clover necklace, when owning a crystal amulet), the amulet may rarely reward players with elder seeds, or more commonly with Crystal motherlode shards, which may be traded in for a reward upon the release of the elf city. The amulet seems to produce shards at a rate of roughly one per hour of gaining experience whilst wearing and produces an elder seed alongside a shard each 24th hour of gaining experience.
Despite having combat stats, the crystal amulet may be taken to Entrana. It can be reclaimed from Diango in Draynor Market if lost.
