Walkthrough

Start point	Speak to Fisherman Jones next to the Fishing Guild bank.

Items required	Items from the tool belt are not listed unless they do not work or are not automatically added. None
Recommended	Ardougne lodestone Home teleport, Skills necklace, Lunar Spellbook (with 85 Magic), Ardougne teleport, or an Ardougne Cloak for faster access to the Fishing Guild Ardougne cloak or Portable fairy ring/Dramen staff/Lunar staff (unless Fairy Tale III - Orks Rift has been completed) to get to the Tower of Life
Enemies to defeat	None

Getting Started

• Talk to Jones the fisherman right outside of the Fishing Guild bank, use all talk options.
• Pickpocket the Master fisher for the sea chart, then talk to him about the Deadliest Catch.
• Talk to Jones.
• Talk to the Master fisher about Linza.

Preparing a Hunt

• Talk to Linza in Hemenster at the anvil. Mention the Thalassus.
• Take the harpoon to Jones.
• Go to the Tower of Life South of Ardougne (fairy ring DJP).
• Talk to 'The Guns'.
• Pick some uninfested Lowland heather which grows around the Tower.
• Get some Builder's Tea from Bonafido.
• Use the heather on the tea.
• Give 'The Guns' the Sea legs potion.

Fish Finding

• Talk to Jones.
• Track the Thalassus via the wreckage.
  • This is similar to Tracking in the Hunter skill.

The Mermaids

• When talking to the mermaids say:

1. The Thalassus has eaten Jones the mighty fisherman.
2. It should, he's been hunting for decades.
3. Very horrid! After he's killed the Thalassus, he'll probably come after you.
4. Trust me, I'm a great adventurer, I should know.
5. Did I mention Jones has a harpoon with him?
6. It's no ordinary harpoon.

Rescuing Jones

• Track the Thalassus again.
• Talk to Jones.
• Talk to Linza.
• Talk to Jones.
• Quest complete!
