Starting The Quest

Start by talking to Grüfeld Bach in the Saradomon church north of the Varrock Museum. He will tell you that the demon Delrith is being summoned and instruct you to enter the crypt under the church. Enter the trapdoor on the north side of the church.

You will see three spirits, talk to them, they will tell you you have to pass three tests to be worthy of Silverlight.

Test 1 - Body

You will need to kill 8 skeletons. Not difficult at all.

Test 2 - Spirit

Follow the spirits instruction to walk across a seemingly deep chasm in the ground. Piece of cake.

Test 3 - Mind

Answer a series of simple questions pertaining to the quest. Also ridiculously easy.

Silverlight

Talk to the spirits in the center of the room again, they will congratulate you and give you access to Silverlight.

Talk to Grüfeld Bach again, and he will tell you to go to the Zamorak Church in South-East Varrock near the Rune Shop. Enter the trap door, and fight your way to the middle. Low level Zamorak Monks will be in the way, as you kill them a barrier opens allowing you to pass into the next room. This is short and easy.

You will come to a big room where (insert name) is waiting to summon Delrith. He will summon the demon then leave. Grüfeld will protect you from his inital blast, and all the "Prepare to be incinerated!" blasts after that.

Stand next to Grüfeld when the Demon says "Prepare to be incinerated" and you will be protected.

The demon can ONLY be fought with silverlight. So go ahead and slay him while weilding it.

After the fight the room will collaps, and you and Grüfeld will pop up where you started in the church.

Required for completing

Completion of Demon Slayer is required for the following:

Cultural references

  • The part where the player must say a combination of words to banish the demon is a reference to the movie, Army of Darkness, where Ash must say specific words to claim the book. (before rework)
  • When the player receives Silverlight from Sir Prysin, they do a spin and hold Silverlight upwards, doing the same victory pose as Wally when he defeated Delrith. The pose could also be a reference to the later Legend of Zelda games where Link acquires a main item during his quest and performs the same pose. (before rework)
