Diamond detail

A Diamond is a white gem used in Crafting. An uncut diamond can be cut by a player with 43 Crafting by using it with a chisel, granting 107.5 Crafting experience and making the uncut diamond into a diamond.

Uncut diamonds can be obtained in several ways. Players can get them randomly while mining ores, as drops from monsters, by selecting them as a reward from Random Event gifts and buying them from players or stores. With level 40 mining and Shilo Village quest completed players can mine the gem rocks in Shilo Village. Gem rocks may also appear while playing the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup activity, where players can mine them 3 times. It is possible to get uncut diamonds via Wall safe cracking in Rogue's den, but this requires level 50 thieving. In addition, uncut diamonds are possible tips from the Gnome Restaurant activity. You can also get diamonds rather frequently from magpies at level 47 summoning. This can be used in conjunction with any other training method as your magpie will randomly forage items even if you are doing nothing.

A cut diamond is the entry and exit fee for the marketplace in Zanaris, though players who have completed Fairy Tale III can enter the marketplace for free. Most players exit the marketplace via teleport or the fairy rings within the market that take you to Al-Kharid.

Diamonds may be sold to the gem store in Falador west of the castle, to the gem stall in the Ardougne marketplace, or to the gem trader in Al-Kharid. The TzHaar gem trader does not carry any uncut diamonds in inventory, but will sell one for 300 Tokkul, if they are in stock, which is very rare.

Members can also use the Fletching skill to cut a diamond into diamond bolt tips by using a chisel on a 'cut' diamond at level 65 Fletching. Cutting a diamond into bolt tips grants the player 7 experience in the fletching skill and gives the player 12 diamond bolt tips.

Diamond Jewellery and Bolts

Diamonds can be forged in a furnace with a gold bar and the appropriate mould to produce the following jewellery, which can then be enchanted to perform specific uses. They can also be chiselled into 12 bolt tips each and added to adamant bolts, which can then be enchanted to pierce armour.
