The dragon square shield is a rare piece of armor. It is found in two halves, which can be merged by using them with a hammer and anvil if you have level 60 smithing. The Shield right half can be purchased in the Legends' Guild for 750,000 coins after completing the Legends Quest. The shield left half, however, must be obtained as a rare drop from any monster that drops gems.
Note: If you drag the Shield right half next to the left half and hold the mouse button, the image will look like a kiteshield. A strange-looking square....? The same effect can be achieved by dropping both pieces, although this is not advised due to random events - but it can be done safely in the Mage Training Arena as no random events occur in the rooms, but only the telikinetic theatre is truly safe.
