The shadow-dyed drygore longsword is made by dyeing a drygore longsword with Shadow Dye. This process is irreversible, and the dyed version is untradeable. It has the same combat bonuses and degradation/repair mechanics as the regular drygore longsword: it will degrade after 60,000 charges of combat (but loses 2 per hit, giving a minimum time of 5 hours of combat).
It can be repaired using 10,000 chitin scraps. Currently, the cost of a full repair using chitin scraps if purchased from the Grand Exchange would be 900,000 coins.

Repair cost[]
The base repair cost of the Drygore longsword (shadow) when completely degraded to 0.0% item charge is 3,000,000 coins. It can be repaired by:
- Bob - the axe seller in Lumbridge
- Tindel Marchant - the weapon and armour repairman at Port Khazard
- Dunstan - the smith in Burthorpe
- Squire - in the workshop area of the Void Knights' Outpost
Alternatively, it can be repaired on an armour stand in a player-owned house, or a whetstone device anywhere. This provides a discount of 0.5% per Smithing level (including boosts).
If it is only partially degraded, then the cost of a full repair is multiplied by the percentage of item charge that needs to be repaired to produce the current repair cost.
