This is a full list of monsters players can encounter in Daemonheim.
Overview[]
About 4/5 of the rooms one opens in Daemonheim contain one or more monsters. A party with one person will encounter a maximum of three monsters in a room. This number is increased by one for each additional party member. Some rooms (like several puzzle rooms, and occasionally normal rooms) do not contain any monsters at all.
Monsters are determined by several factors listed below:
- The player's combat level - A level 4 player will not encounter a level 100 monster but a level 100 player may encounter one or more level 4 monsters. For example, the level 100 player enters a Spikes Room which will contain one or more extremely low-level monsters. The reason behind this is to prevent the player from getting annihilated by high level ranging/maging monsters while he/she is studying and traversing the deadly spikes.
- The dungeon complexity, size, and depth - On complexity 1, even a level 100 player will rarely encounter a monster with a level higher than 60 particularly on beginning floors. Larger dungeons, floors at deeper levels as well as with high complexities will contains higher level monsters.
- The number of monsters in the room - If there is only one monster in a room it will have a high combat level. For example, a level 95 player should expect at least a single 100+ level monster. The more monsters there are in a room the lower their levels will be. For example, that same 95-level player should expect to find monsters with a combination of something like levels 6, 29 and 45.
- The number of players in the dungeon - The greater number of players that enter a dungeon will encounter stronger monsters. Players may, on rare occasions, even run into monsters stronger than the boss.
- The type of room - An room that has a puzzle or requires certain actions to be performed will have weaker monsters than a room devoid of such requirements. The only rooms that require ALL monsters to be killed are ones in which one or more doors are marked as Guardian doors.
