A Dying tree is similar to regular trees in that it gives out normal logs when cut. They can only be found in or south of Varrock. There are also some near Castle Fenkenstrain that look just like dead trees, but they cannot be chopped down. They are similar to dead trees but, as the name suggests, they are not yet dead.

History

The trees may have been alive in the 4th age, as that is when cities were being built. However, something may have happened to them later, as the examine text suggests. It may have been something to do with the graphics update of Varrock.
