Earmuffs are a piece of Slayer equipment used to protect against banshees' screams. They require 15 Slayer to wear, and may be purchased from any Slayer Master. Additionally, it is one of the items needed for constructing a slayer helmet.
During the Smoking Kills quest, players learn how to combine earmuffs with face masks, in order to create masked earmuffs. It is also one of the items needed for constructing a slayer helmet. Masked earmuffs are useful for players wishing to train slayer by slaying mighty banshees rather than those located in the Slayer Tower as they provide greater Slayer experience.
