- His name and examine info is a play on Edgar Allan Poe, and his poem The Raven.
- When you speak to Edgar, he says "Nevermore". This is a reference to the poem The Raven; "Quoth the raven, 'Nevermore.'
- Edgar and Allan may be based of the T.V. show, "Edgar and Ellen". The crows were probably there to symbolise misery and spookiness, as do Edgar and Ellen in the show.
- Edgar and Allan also are a play on words after the famous Edgar Allan Poe.
- When you examine him and Allan it states "He'll Poe-n you", which is a reference to the common internet slang, "to pwn", while also being another reference to Poe.
