This page refers to both resource dungeons in the dungeon itself. As with all resource dungeons, players who have the required Dungeoneering level may unlock them.

Also, the chaos druids are non-aggressive to players of 27 or higher combat level. The room itself has a grimy marrentill, grimy irit, grimy harralander, and the only grimy ranarr spawn in all of RuneScape. However, this is often crowded.

Hill giant dungeon

This dungeon is one of the five resource dungeons available to free-to-play players. The dungeon has a level requirement of 20 Dungeoneering. A player will receive 1,600 Dungeoneering experience upon first entry. The Hill Giant Dungeon contains many Hill Giants and 4 limpwurt root spawns.

Practical uses

Both dungeons provide excellent ways of training herblore since chaos druids drop vials of water and herbs like marrentill and tarromin. Players then can go to the other resource dungeon to pick up the limpwurt roots, or leave through the Edgeville entrance to bank or kill unicorns for their horns. Players may also kill druids for their herbs, or hill giants for their big bones and leave through the hill giant exit to sell them at the Grand Exchange, or bury the bones to gain experience in the Prayer skill.

P2P players may find the hill giant dungeon useful for training combat or magic by telegrabbing the limpwurt root seeds since most people will either be focused on the giants outside or will not have the required Dungeoneering level. Also, when fighting the hill giants or grabbing the roots, the rule of thumb is to go furthest from the entrance where there is less likely to be people. For killing hill giants in the hill giant resource dungeon, there is a safe spot along the southeast wall, a little cove inside the wall, where players can mage or range the giants outside safely (be sure to go as much inside as possible, as the hill giants can still hit you if you are standing close to the entrance).
