Elite ranger boots detail

Elite ranger boots are tier 82 Ranged equipment, requiring level 40 Ranged and level 82 Defence to wear. They are created by using 1 golden thread on a pair of ranger boots. This will consume the golden thread with a confirmation dialogue. This process is irreversible and the upgraded boots are untradeable.

The elite boots share the same model with the standard Ranger boots, but receive a subtle golden trim on creation.

The boots degrade over 30,000 charges of combat to a broken state. It can be repaired for 120,000 at a repair NPC or for less on an armour stand.

If players die in the Wilderness with a fully charged set of elite ranger boots, it will drop the standard ranger boots and 250,000 coins, the value of a golden thread.

[FAQ][doc]

Elite ranger boots exceed the ranged bonus of Pernix boots by 1 and have a slightly higher armour rating due to their higher tier, but they are missing the +2 Prayer bonus in comparison to Pernix boots.

Repair cost[]

The base repair cost of the Elite ranger boots when completely degraded to 0.0% item charge is 120,000 coins. It can be repaired by:

Alternatively, it can be repaired on an armour stand in a player-owned house, or a whetstone device anywhere. This provides a discount of 0.5% per Smithing level (including boosts).

If it is only partially degraded, then the cost of a full repair is multiplied by the percentage of item charge that needs to be repaired to produce the current repair cost.
