Eucalyptus trees are trees that require level 58 Woodcutting to cut. When cut, they give eucalyptus logs, which are used in the As a First Resort quest. They are faster to cut than yews, but slower than maple trees, and have a respawn rate of 1 minute and 29 seconds. They are good to train on as there are never many people there, the trees are good experience, and there are a few safe spots.

While eucalyptus logs are cut faster than yew logs, they can take time to sell so higher levelled players often tend to move on from Eucalyptus logs.

Currently, the only known location of eucalyptus trees is to the west of Oo'glog and east of Mobilising Armies. Both of these locations contain banks which can be useful for depositing the logs. To gain access to the bank in Oo'glog the player must have completed the very first part of the As a First Resort quest. As you gain access to the bank before the section of the quest requiring the Hunter skill, the Hunter requirement is not required to unlock the bank. However, at Mobilising Armies it is faster to cut eucalyptus logs in the far west of the forest, just east of the Mobilising Armies Command centre, and bank there, which takes only two clicks.

Players should take caution against the ogresses and wolves that surround the area. There are three safe spots which work effectively. The first, and western most, is simply the first two trees from the bank. If the player is standing on the south side of the top tree and north side of the bottom tree he/she will generally not be attacked. Beware, however, as wolves and ogresses will attack if the player strays too far. The second safe spot is to the east, next to oo'glog. The high to medium risk of being attacked can put people off training here, however, if used effectively these three safe spots can provide a useful training area. A third safe spot is located just south of the cliff on the south side of Oo'glog.

It is also generally safe to stay on the northern side of the area as there are ogres and wolves mingled inside the area. However, after the Evolution of Combat ogresses became non-aggressive and due to the low level of wolves they are tolerant towards most players.

Eucalyptus Ent — A eucalyptus ent, which is now discontinued.

Like some other high level trees, these trees do not give bird's nests very often, though chances are improved with a strung rabbit foot.

As of the 8 June 2015 patch notes, Eucalyptus trees will now benefit from the automatic banking ability after killing an Evil Tree.
