The famine scroll enables the use of the Famine special move for the Ravenous locust familiar. Famine scrolls are made by using Ravenous locust pouches on a Summoning obelisk, providing 0.1 Summoning experience and 10 Famine scrolls. If the Voice of Seren is active in the Amlodd District in Prifddinas, using the Prifddinas obelisk will give 12 scrolls per pouch.
A maximum of 500 scrolls can be used on a ravenous locust familiar to both store the scrolls and allow the familiar to automatically use the scrolls. They can be obtained again by clicking "Take BoB" in the summoning interface. Enchanted headgear used to have similar effect although this has since been removed from the game.

Famine is the special move for the Ravenous locust, which allows the locust to "eat" a piece of the opponent's food (Bandages are NOT considered food). It is activated using a Famine scroll and uses 12 special move points. Activating it gives 1.5 experience.
When activated, a swarm appears and surrounds the target.
