A Farming timer that alerts the player when their crops are fully grown is an update that was suggested on RuneLabs.[1]

Farming timer came third in the first RuneLabs poll in January 2015, behind adamant and rune dragons and Slayer belt, and was originally not planned to be released. Despite this, because it is a relatively small update which wouldn't require much work, as well as the fact that the amount of votes for this idea was close to the amount of votes that the idea in second place had, Jagex stated that they would do this update as well and that it would be released "a little after June" in 2015.[2] In a Dev Q&A livestream in September 2015 Mod Osbourne said that no team was currently working on the timer, though designs for the concept had been completed.[3] In a livestream on 17 May 2016 Mod Kelpie confirmed that the Farming timer was not being developed by any teams.[4]
