Father Joakim was the Saradominist priest who was in charge of running the Festival of the Dead event. He could be found standing south of the Lumbridge cemetery or in south-east Burthorpe (next to the church).

Joakim began his studies in East Ardougne, where he soon met people who instead of mourning their friend's deaths, celebrated them. Joakim liked this idea, and returned to Ardougne in disguise to gather more knowledge on the subject. He has traced back the roots of this ritual to the indigenous people of Karamja.
